Today we begin what may be an epic westward journey. We are rafting the Grand Canyon. It will be more than 3 weeks before I’ll be back to post again. Meanwhile, I want to share with you a tiny part of what’s been keeping me so busy lately. We are no longer crofters but are now genuine homesteaders–that is, we’ve gone from renters to owners. Along the way, we had lots of excitement, including a new septic system. Oh, yes, of course I’ll have pictures soon! But those will have to wait until we return from our grand (canyon) trip. In the meantime, I hope you have a productive and happy start to your summer.
From crofters to real homesteaders–then west

Sometimes people ask me, if this isn't a commercial site, what are those ads? Wordpress puts ads on free blogs to pay for our upkeep. I never even know what they are. I've considered going ad-free, but it would cost me about $100 a year, and then I'd need a couple of ads to pay for my hobby. I do consider it . . . .I’m on Pinterest.

Have fun, have fun, have fun!!
Can’t wait to hear all about the trip, and to see pics of the Homestead.
Congrats!!
Have a wonderful trip. Looking forward to hearing about what you eat.
Exciting stuff! I hope you have a beautiful trip. It’ll be great to hear all about it. Congratulations on your big news as well.
Thanks for all the good wishes. It was an epic adventure, the trip of a lifetime. We’re still on the road, but we expect to reach home late tomorrow. I’ll start posting about our adventure in two or three days. And, yes, Tammy, I promise a bit about the food.
